Our Recovery Program

12-Step Based Drug & Alcohol Rehab in Deer Park, Texas

The Wheelhouse offers a recovery program for men seeking freedom from drug and alcohol addiction. Our program, which is not a religious one but a spiritual way of life, is based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Located in Deer Park, Texas, our program serves men from the Greater Houston area.

Brotherhood & Belonging

No man walks this journey alone. Our programs provide the structure, accountability, and brotherhood needed to turn recovery into lasting freedom.

Who We Serve

Our programs are built for men who are ready to take back their lives from addiction, supported by a strong community and proven structure.

For Men Ready to Recover

If you’re starting sobriety, The Wheelhouse provides the structure, accountability, and brotherhood you need to build lasting change.

Recovery happens in the rhythm of everyday life. At The Wheelhouse, men live in community, follow a structured routine, and discover freedom through accountability, service, and brotherhood. Every day is designed to build stability, responsibility, and hope for the future.

A Clear Path to Recovery

Three Phases. One Proven Program.

Phase One: 30 Days of Foundation & Focus

The first thirty days at The Wheelhouse are about stripping away distractions and laying the foundation for recovery. Men enter a strict, structured environment where cell phones, TV, newspapers, computers, and outside entertainment are set aside.

Instead, this phase is centered entirely on the 12-Step Program of Recovery from Alcoholics Anonymous. Unlike many treatment centers that stop at Step Two, our men complete intensive work through Steps One to Eight. This spiritual program is not a religious one yet we are unafraid to talk about God as the source of true healing.

These first thirty days are intentionally difficult, but they create the space for transformation to begin. Most importantly, Phase One is offered free of charge, ensuring that every man has a chance to start his recovery journey.

Phase Two: 90 Days of Growth & Responsibility

Men who complete the initial 30 days are invited into a deeper, 90-day program focused on rebuilding their lives from the ground up. In this phase, accountability and responsibility become central.

During this time, men:

  • Secure state identification and essential documents.

  • Address outstanding medical and legal obligations.

  • Continue recovery work, focusing on Steps Nine through Twelve.

  • Find employment and begin contributing through consistent work.

By the end of this phase, men are not only maintaining their sobriety, but actively restoring their independence and sense of purpose.

Phase Three: The Sober Home Transition

After completing 90 days, men have the opportunity to move into our Sober Home. This phase bridges the gap between structured recovery and independent living.

Here, men:

  • Live in a safe, sober environment.

  • Practice independence while still benefiting from accountability and community.

  • Transition into self-sufficiency, preparing to move into homes of their own.

The Sober Home is where the principles of recovery are carried into daily life—helping men turn sobriety into lasting freedom.
