On a beautiful Saturday morning in Deer Park, Texas, something powerful happened. Over 600 people gathered, not just to run or wal, volunteer or to cheer, but to support a mission that is changing lives. The Wheelhouse Reclaim Run 5K brought together families, recovery supporters, local leaders, and athletes of all levels for a day filled with energy, laughter, and purpose.
By the end of the event, the community had raised $45,268 to support The Wheelhouse’s work, helping men and their families reclaim their lives from addiction and build lasting recovery.
It was more than a race. It was a celebration of hope and community.

Running for Recovery
The Wheelhouse Reclaim Run 5K was created to raise funds and awareness for a cause that matters deeply to the Deer Park community.
The funds raised through the event directly support the recovery program at The Wheelhouse, which relies entirely on donations to continue its work. (The Wheelhouse)
Every registration, every sponsorship, and every step taken on the course has helped provide 42 men with the opportunity for addiction recovery.
And the turnout showed just how much the community believes in that mission.
This year’s event welcomed 401 registered runners and walkers, 24 volunteers, more than 150 friends and family to cheer, all coming together to support men and their families who are working to reclaim their lives.
From experienced runners pushing for personal bests to families walking together with strollers and friends cheering along the route, the event reflected the heart of people supporting people.
Female Open Winner was Cinthya Perez with an overall placement of 7 and a total time of 22:58.9. Male Open Winner was Christian Navarro with an overall placement of 1 and a total time of 19:50.3.

A Community That Shows Up
One of the most inspiring parts of the Reclaim Run was the incredible community support surrounding the event.
The Mayor of Deer Park, the Superintendent of Schools, city council members, and local first responders all showed their support for The Wheelhouse’s mission.
Throughout the morning, volunteers worked tirelessly, helping with registration, setting up water stations, directing runners, coordinating the race, and cheering participants across the finish line.
Deer Park Councilwoman and President of our Board of Directors, Georgette Ford (Aqua Solutions) announced: “Today is about community and helping men reclaim their lives from addiction.”
And that spirit was felt everywhere, from the countdown to the start to the celebrations at the finish.

The Power of Partnership
Events like the Reclaim Run only happen because generous sponsors step forward to make them possible.
This year’s presenting sponsors included TF Companies, Texas Flange, and Thomas P., whose leadership helped make the event a success.
Dozens of additional sponsors also contributed, including businesses and individuals who believe in the life-changing work of recovery. Organizations such as IPR Health Care Systems, OrangeTheory Fitness Pasadena, Into Action Recovery, Texas First Bank, Sagemont Church, and Pearland Coffee Roasters all played an important role in supporting the event.
Their generosity, along with that of so many other sponsors, helped push the fundraising total to more than $45,000, ensuring that The Wheelhouse can continue providing recovery support for men who need it.
But sponsorship wasn’t just about financial contributions. Many sponsors also participated in the run itself, brought teams of employees, or volunteered during the event, making it a true community partnership.

Changing Lives Through Recovery
The real impact of the day goes far beyond race results or fundraising totals.
Because of the generosity of sponsors, participants, and donors, 42 men will now have the opportunity to pursue recovery through The Wheelhouse program.
That means 42 lives given another chance. It means families are restored and futures have a chance to be rebuilt.
